Field Trip#4 Estero Bay Historic Cottage and Matanzas Pass Preserve

This entry is a personal reflection that should capture how you felt, what you enjoyed, what you may not have enjoyed, etc. What were your impressions of this field trip? What did you think of the history lecture? What did you think of the boardwalk?

This was a great field trip. I learned so much history on Ft Myers, and it is really interesting to learn the past behind the areas taht we see everyday. I enjoyed every part of the speech that the lady gave us in the historic cottage. It was very interesting to hear about the different people that lived here in the past and to see pictures such as the construction of the bridge. The board walk was great as well, and gave us an upclose look at the mangroves. I can finally distinguish between the different types.
