Urban Fort Myers and Southwest Florida Historical Museum During the course of the class, we will embark on off-campus field experiences. Provide a reflection of your experience for each field trip. This entry is a personal reflection that should capture how you felt, what you enjoyed, what you may not have enjoyed, etc. What were your impressions of the downtown area and the museum? What impacted you the most during the field experience? How would you redesign Fort Myers and encourage more community engagement? Reflect on your experiences.
The Film day of the dead was filmed in downtown Ft Myers. When we went on the field trip, I got to see all of the money shots where the film was made. The downtown area was great. I loved the museum, I loved learning about giant sloths that ones roamed the great Fort Myers. The Shark was cool. I liked the alien exhibit. Also we learned that there are way too many palm trees in Ft Myers. Why do people go to this length to collect palm trees? I would make Ft Myers one HUGe building that reaches to the heavens. And then surround it with fire and sharks. Then I am sure people would come to visit. Also I would hold cool events there and make it not so lame.
